Chevrolet is working hard to keep meeting the changing needs of its customers. While there are many models that have been around for a long time and continue to shine, there are also newer vehicles that offer something new. At our Jasper, IN Chevrolet dealership, we're pleased that Chevy has expanded its lineup in recent years to include electric vehicles. In the next few years, even more Chevy electrified options will be available.
Before we go over the various options, we just want to highlight that Chevrolet is moving in the direction of electric vehicles. Chevrolet doesn't make any more hybrids, but you may still be able to find used hybrid versions of the Malibu, Impala, Tahoe, and Silverado 1500. Plus, the Chevy Volt is an older model that's a plug-in hybrid.
The current electric vehicles that we offer to Ireland, IN customers are the Bolt EV and the Bolt EUV. These two models are very similar to each other, but the Bolt EUV has a little more second-row legroom. Alternatively, the Bolt EV, with a range of 259 miles, can travel longer on a full charge than the Bolt EUV, which has a range of 247 miles. They both have about 57 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. Their electric motors can generate 200 horsepower as well as 266 pound-feet of torque, so they feel very lively. They can be fun to drive around Huntingburg, especially since they're so responsive.
These models come with impressive technology that includes 10.2-inch touchscreens with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation and a premium sound system are available, and so is adaptive cruise control. Fortunately, many driver-assist systems are standard. You can stay safer on the road to Ferdinand, IN, thanks to blind-zone monitoring, pedestrian detection, emergency braking, and various other components.
There are three new EVs getting ready to hit the local market due to Chevy's EV commitment. The Equinox EV, Blazer EV, and Silverado EV have already started getting a lot of attention. Like the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV, they can charge at Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 charging stations. You can use the available myChevrolet Mobile App to keep track of an EV's range and find public charging stations with convenient locations.
The Equinox EV looks modern and agile, and it can stand out even more with an available two-tone exterior color scheme. This SUV runs on an electric system that can give it up to 290 horsepower. All-wheel drive is available, and its towing capacity is 1,500 pounds. Inside its cabin, there could be a 17-inch touchscreen, personalized ambient lighting, and heated and ventilated front seats.
If you need something slightly larger, the Blazer EV might be a good choice. It's also available with a two-tone style, and it comes standard with a 17-inch touchscreen. With a full charge, this SUV can travel up to 320 miles. We'll be offering the Blazer EV in multiple configurations. If you get the Blazer EV SS, you'd have an incredible 557 horsepower. Clearly, this SUV keeps performance in mind.
The Silverado EV really stands alone. This pickup truck can tow up to 10,000 pounds around Dale, IN, and it can boast up to 785 pound-feet of torque and 754 horsepower. After getting a full charge, you can feel free to go exploring, since the Silverado EV's range is an estimated 400 miles. You'll also appreciate the convenience of having a sizable truck bed. The Multi-Flex Tailgate and Multi-Flex Midgate give you many configuration options, and they can adjust to accommodate an item that's up to 10 feet and 10 inches in length.
